Vacation Bible School, or VBS as many of you know it, is a wonderful time. This summer it was no different. 40 children were able to attend this year and they all went home with aprons, spoons, lego, some great prizes and some fun memories. We played games, we did crafts, we sang songs and we learned about God.
We learned 4 Big ideas this past week and they are this:

God always makes time for us.

God gave us gifts to make a difference.

God makes us stronger together.
-
We make God known when we share our story.
All of these are summed up well in our Theme verse:
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - Psalm 34:8
He is good in how He always makes time for us. He shows his goodness by giving us all different gifts that compliment each other and make us stronger as a result. We also see his goodness when we look back at our story and see his faithfulness and love even when things are hard.
We got to taste and see cupcakes and all your donated snacks, which we appreciated very much. We got to taste and see the gifts He gave each of the leaders that worked so well together, which I appreciated very much. We also got to taste and see God's faithfulness in our past and I hope you can take some time this week to reflect on how we can taste and see God's goodness, especially when we, like David and Esther, take refuge in Him.
